Web and mobile applications for preschools to ensure children’s safety
FamWeek, a Norwegian company, aimed to create a unique platform for parents and preschool teachers to communicate and ensure better children’s safety. They recognised the need to partner with a trusted technology provider and chose Baltic Amadeus, known for its previously implemented IT projects in Norway.
This case study delves into our collaboration with FamWeek, highlighting the development of a communication platform that enhances child safety and simplifies interactions between parents and preschools.
Situation
FamWeek, a Norwegian company, aimed to develop an innovative web solution and mobile app to streamline communication between parents and educational institutions.
When FamWeek sought a technology partner for this project, they chose to collaborate with Baltic Amadeus due to their successful history of IT projects in the Norwegian market.
Therefore, the Baltic Amadeus team suggested a flexible solution, including web and mobile applications, making it easy for parents and institutions to communicate and share information. The solution is designed to work well for each parent and helps ensure child safety.
Solution
During the project, the BA team created an MVP solution using Drupal and customised it to work seamlessly on both Android and iOS operating systems, ensuring a smooth customer experience across various platforms.
BA introduced a mobile device message and information transfer system, streamlining the process for faster and more efficient communication through push notifications.
Additionally, the team developed a user-friendly calendar availability management system and provided integration capabilities to enhance overall functionality.
Added value
The new FamWeek web solution and mobile app have made life easier for busy families. With these tools, organisations can effortlessly handle user information, process service transactions, communicate through messages, and share videos and calendar events. This simplifies daily tasks and enhances the overall UX.
FabWeek functionality allows parents to receive mobile notifications, manage their children’s schedules, sync activity calendars, communicate with the school and fellow parents, and plan events together. This ensures parents stay well-informed and involved in their children’s activities.
Additionally, staff members at the institution now use the system to log every change in a child’s location from when they arrive until they leave. This enhances safety measures and keeps parents updated about their children’s whereabouts, providing peace of mind.
